The Adventure Mine is located near Greenland, MI on Adventure Bluff. The mine was started in the mid-1800's on the site of 5,000 year old prehistoric mining pits. From 1850 through the 1920's, over a thousand tons of native copper and silver were mined here.
Today, you can live the mining experience on one of the many tours that are offered at the Adventure Mine. There are tours for all ages and experience levels. The shortest is a 45 minute walking tour through one of the mine's adits. The longest is a 3 hour underground tour with rappelling.

All tour guests are equipped with a simple hardhat and headlamp. There are no other lights in the mine.
The mine temperature is a constant 48 degrees year round. A light jacket and good walking shoes are recommended.

The Adventure Mine is very children-friendly. And, the mine has everything kids love... flashlights, rocks, bats, hardhats, all terrain vehicles and adventure.
