Copper Peak Adventure Ride

Copper Peak, 10 miles north of Bessemer, is the world's largest artificial ski flying jump. It stands 1782 feet above sea level and provides the highest, unobstructed 360 view in the Midwest.

From late May to mid-October, visitors can ride the 800 foot chairlift to the base of the jump. An elevator is then available up to the 18th story of the structure. And, for those who aren't fearful of heights, an 8 story walk further up to the top will reward you with an awe inspiring vista overlooking more than 2500 square miles. From this observation deck you can see the Bayfield Peninsula, Apostle Islands, Porcupine Mountains and Isle Royale. And, on a clear day, you can even glimpse Minnesota and Canada.
